Accedo Broadband's CEO, Michael Lantz speaking at CONNECTIONS

Michael Lantz, the CEO of Accedo Broadband will be speaking at the upcoming CONNECTIONS Conference on the Bringing “Cloud Media” to Consumer Electronics Devices panel at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, June 3rd.

Accedo has recently launched a set of interactive TV applications connecting to Web 2.0 services and social networks. Our new applications bring the best of internet services into the living room.

Our biggest challenge at the moment is to monetize the emerging Connected TV initiatives. Volumes are still low and technology is immature. There is currently not the scale to make money from the current market launches.

Accedo's long term goal is to be the leading provider of interactive applications for IPTV and Connected TV. We already have this position for casual gaming and are now expanding to other application areas.

Casual Gaming for IPTV is our most successful product. Consumers like playing casual games on the TV, and are prepared to pay for it. We make money either by creating a games "channel" or by selling a 24 hour access to a game service. We have deployments in more than 25 countries at the moment.

Accedo's greatest strength is our focus on Connected TV. By focusing on the TV paradigm and the consumer mindset in front of the TV, we can launch the best and most attractive services and applications for this market.
