To recap, Facebook acquired the social media tracker FriendFeed, enhancing its ability to let users pull their activity on sites such as YouTube and Flickr onto Facebook.

Facebook’s Search Toolbar Gets More Muscle
Facebook is expanding to allow searches for anything on its site, including products, movies, etc. Testing has been taking place over the past couple months and asking users to share their status updates with everyone, not just their confirmed friends.
